Michelle and David are avid hikers and lovers of all the beauty the PNW has to offer!
They wanted to incorporate the majestic mountains of the North Cascades National Park into an elopement ceremony that their families could also attend. Coleman and I helped them plan a day that combined the best of both worlds with both photo and video!
An intimate first look with incredible warm fall foliage and a stillness in the lake that reflected the amazing Mt. Shuksan was how we started the day off!
David’s reaction to Michelle was so genuine and heartfelt. You could so easily palpate the connection these two have! They embraced and then spent a few moments alone together to soak it all in.
After adventuring around the lake a bit with just the two of them, we had their families join us before heading up to the ceremony spot we picked out with gorgeous views of both Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker 😍
The colors were popping so beautiful in the North Cascades!
It was right in the middle of autumn in Washington when the foliage was really starting to change. Beautiful lush greens mixed with rich vibrant yellows, oranges and reds were sure a gorgeous contrast to the blues in the PNW mountains!
Their ceremony was filled with so much love and thoughtfulness.
They incorporated a cairn ceremony (the rocks stacked beautifully together at the end of this gallery and then taken back down afterward to follow Leave No Trace ethics!). Afterward, they read heartfelt vows to one another in the presence of their children and other family members.
After the ceremony, a little time spent signing the marriage license and soaking up the love from their families, we adventured around the rugged peaks and reflecting waters until the sun went down!
We feel so lucky to have been part of their incredible story in the North Cascades and can’t wait to share more from their special day!
